David's Story
Life
After graduation from Des Moines Tech High School (Aviation) in 1957, I joined the Iowa Air National Guard and became an electronics mechanic. (Actually, I joined at 17-yrs old and attended Basic Training betwen the 11th and 12th grades.) After about 7-years as a mechanic, I then attended USAF Officer Candidate School (OCS-63C), USAF Pilot Training (64G) and subsequently flew a whole array of fighters---and survived; and luckly I also missed Viet Nam. d Trans World Airlines as a pilot and, despite two furloughs totaling 13-years, I finally checked out as Captain and flew throughout Europe and the MiddleEast. I retired from TWA in 2001 just before American Airlines bought their remains at 10 cents on the dollar.
I met my current (tri-lingual, Ukranian) wife in Cairo, Egypt and got married in Cairo. Olga attained her B.S. in Business Management at the University of Arizona and is currently attending an International Marketing MBA university in Lyon, France.
Currently living in Lyon, France and will be here until about mid-2004.
